Mr. Imhotep P. Coleman, is dedicated to inspiring the world through the moving image. He aspires to produce wonderful stories with an aesthetic zest. His ability to come up with new, exciting, and different ways to tell a captivating story is his biggest joy. He is an avid fan of thought provoking films and is currently cultivating a trilogy of scripts delicately detailing discrepancies within the African-American culture.
 
Imhotep Coleman received his training and Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio, Television, and Film from Howard University in 2001. He is a member of the 2007 Director Guild/Producers Plan Training Program.  Among his many credits are HOLLA (2001), God’s Covenant People (2002), Grandma’s Hands (2000), 70 years of Caring, a Tribute to Al (2002), and  Gratuity’s Included (2005). Imhotep is a critcally acclaimed filmmaker and Maryland Arts Council Individual Award winner. His films have been screened at numerous film festivals and workshops around the country. Imhotep Coleman is a native of Kansas City Missouri and now resides with his wife Alexis, and son Jalen, in Los Angeles.
